We have been family owned and operated since 1989. The South "40" Farm Store is owned and operated by Bud & Janet Combe.
The Combe family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1960 and purchased a 165-acre farm to raise beef cattle and hay. They also raised a large vegetable garden and sold at the local growers market for many years.
In 1989, Bud & Janet decided to try their hand in retail and opened the South "40" Farm Store at 2475 Williams Hwy. where it is still operating today. With their extensive knowledge of farming, the store soon became a favorite place for customers to find not only the product they were looking for but also a sales staff that knew about and used the products they were selling. They strive to make every customer feel at home when they walk through the door.
Whether you are needing to order chickens in the spring or need a part to keep your tractor running smoothly, you will find what you're looking for at the South "40" Farm Store. When not working at the store, Bud can be found helping the local FFA chapter with his years of farming experience or working with the local Branch 9 Antique Tractor Club. Janet sponsors many 4-H and FFA programs and always purchases project animals at the local Josephine County Fair. She also helps sponsor many local horse clinics and seminars which are often free to the public.
So stop by today to find out why we say, "When you're here, you're family!"
